A tranquil haven amidst the bustle of the city, the Oasis lounge at 767 Third Avenue in Midtown East provides the building’s office occupants with a comfortable setting for casual coffee meetings, socializing with colleagues, or simply relaxing in a serene environment. The amenity space occupies the seventh floor of the 40-story tower, and features interiors by New York City-based firm Fogarty Finger that take the colors and textures of the desert as references. These are applied by way of curvaceous dune-like plaster walls, and a sandy-hued palette for fabrics and rugs to create a calming atmosphere. An oasis, if you will.
Awards & Accolades
Various seating configurations through the space can accommodate small meetings or individual break-outs. Choices include Ren Lounge Chairs with a blackened-wood finish and cushions that hook onto their frames, which accompany matching circular tables supported by tapered bases. Or the same design with darker cushions set along a large walnut table that’s ideal for group collaboration. A rust-toned leather banquette that follows the gentle curve of the windows above is also added into the mix, offering a naturally lit spot for reading or writing.

The corner bar area is clad in vertical forest-green tiles that bring a touch of viridescence to the otherwise arid palette, while an island is fronted by handmade terracotta bricks with zig-zagging faces. Stellar Works’ Upholstered Blink Counter Stools with lipped backs line-up along the bar, below a reflective ceiling that helps to make the space feel larger.

A curated selection of artworks, books, and decorative objects are arranged across the walls and on built-in millwork, adding to the lounge’s domestic ambiance. With many return-to-office mandates now enforced, this studious yet suave space offers a “home away from home” for those who prefer a more relaxed work environment. No pajamas allowed though.
For those seeking a quiet workspace—or at least a chic Zoom background—the library area forms a transitional space between the bar and lounge on one side, and the conference room on the other. A series of pivoting frosted-glass doors allows tenants to connect these spaces for larger town-hall gatherings, or keep them separate during private evening events.
